In this SATB anthem, the composer and lyricist take the listener to the meditative time of night just before a new day begins. It is a time of promise, potential, and, most importantly, prayer. 

Utilizing the hymn-tune WOODWORTH, this SATB anthem is appropriate for Lent or general use.
