The appeal in the lovely anthem lies in its simple sincerity.  Few composers have a gift for writing both words and music, but Deborah Dresie does both equally well and her genuine faith shines through both.  The nature of the text and relative quietness of her music make this a perfect prayer response, each verse related to and building on the former one.
