Howard Helvey once again displays his considerable talent in setting this mournful carol about the Slaughter of the Innocents.  As always, his ability to write duet accompaniment adds texture, color and interest.  Alternating between major and minor modes and between consonance and dissonance perfectly reflects the drama of the text.  Also available for TTBB (BP1679)
