Phrase by phrase, Joel Nagy leads us through an unrelenting account of the crucifixion while balancing his narrative with statements of God’s love and mercy.  Russell Nagy’s melody set in minor mode perfectly imbues these images with a sense of awe.  This a superb anthem for Good Friday services.
