John Carter has combined a myriad of tunes, texts, and techniques in this SATB anthem including quotes from the beloved hymn-tune and from the book of Ephesians, as well as the usage of both spoken work and rhythmic vocal melodies woven between a unison choir and SATB ensemble. Certainly not your everyday "Amazing Grace"!
