Winner of the 2025 Indianapolis Symphonic Choir Carol Competition, Benjamin Knoedler's "Ding Dong, Merrily on High!" marvelously weaves together the traditional French carol with the "Troika" theme from Prokofiev; the two melodies seem to fit together magically! Joy and celebration resound throughout every bar of this festive piece. Delightful as a concert opener, or as a joyous moment to contrast slower carols.
