A gift to the global choral community, this work may be downloaded for free to encourage choral conductors and singers.
Two modern canons in up to 5 parts, setting a beautiful text longing for singing to begin again. Flexible enough to be sung by SATB or SSAA choirs of any size. Available only from this webpage, and only as a digital download (PDF).

Text: (written by a chorus member after his choir had to abandon their rehearsals/performance plans for Dan Forrest's "Requiem for the Living"):
Where did the long pause begin,
our hopeful notes abandoned in disturbed air?
When we return, where will we start?
I cannot find the measure where we went silent. But the notes
know where they are, suspended above in a holding pattern.
Waiting for a trusted hand to wave us into the downbeat.
