"As a church organist, I am constantly trying to produce creative introductions and hymn accompaniments that paint the lyrics and enhance congregational worship. One Sunday, I introduced the hymn “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna” by layering the opening motive, which gave the inspiration for many of the ideas in this arrangement. I imagined crowds of people singing in the streets as Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The arrangement incorporates children, some polyphonic moments, festive brass, and a descant to create that scene."
