For many years, Beckenhorst’s studio recordings have been lauded by our customers for their exemplary quality and musicality. Now, for the first time, we’ve begun using our recordings for part-dominant rehearsal tracks, by remixing each track to feature Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass.

We’ve mixed each track so your singers will feel like they’re surrounded by professional singers up close, modeling not only correct notes and rhythms for their part, but also exemplary vocal tone, vowels and consonants, expressive phrasing, etc. Our hope is that using these tracks will help your singers not only “learn their part”, but increase their choral musicianship as well—resulting in not just more accurate singing, but more beautiful singing.

Each part is dominant, but not fully isolated; the other vocal parts are still somewhat audible in the background of each track. This helps your singers learn to hear the broader context around them even as they learn their own part. Listen to 2-minute example excerpts below.

The tracks are reasonably priced, and available as mp3 downloads for every piece in our new Fall/Winter 2023 release. (We do not offer physical CDs). Look under “Companion Products” on each choral product page, to find “rehearsal tracks” listed.

Your purchase gives you permission to share the tracks with your entire choir. Please be careful to share privately with your choir only - we recommend emailing them or posting in a private file-sharing service (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc) and sending a link to your choir. Do not post the tracks in a place online where others could find them with a web search.
