Poetic Lyrics
Vocatus aut non vocatus, Deus adest.
Vocatus aut non vocatus, ades.
Called or uncalled, God, you are present within the air, the breath I take;
the arms around this fleeting temple that you draw close in the embrace.
Within the visible, the hidden within the smallest window of time;
and in the hush, a quiet whisper: “Come, join in the dance that is mine.”
Within this world there is another to overlook or be embraced:
A sense of wonder in the simple, a beauty in the commonplace.
The moon reflected on the water, the scarlet note a redbird sings,
a sacred pause within the flurry amid the dance of daily things.
The mortal coil will finish turning, unrav’ling as it unwinds,
and yet the dance remains eternal, the ever-present hand in mine.
The arm at rest upon the shoulder, the soul met fully in the gaze.
The ordinary and the holy divinely held in one embrace.
Vocatus aut non vocatus, Deus adest.
Vocatus aut non vocatus, ades.
